The School Day

School begins at 8.55am, and there is a morning break of 15 minutes for all children at 10.30am.

Key Stage 1 lunch break begins at 12.00am with Key Stage 2 starting at 12.25pm. Afternoon begins at 1.00pm for Key Stage 1, ending at 3.00pm, and at 1.15pm for Key Stage 2 until 3.05pm.

There is a daily act of collective worship at varying times through the week. Parents and carers have the right to remove their child from religious education or from the daily act of collective worship. They should first discuss this with the principal so that they can understand clearly how these areas are tackled in school. If they then wish to withdraw a child, this should be confirmed in writing.

Children will enter EYFS in the term following their third birthday, and nursery session times are 8.45am to 11.45am / 12.15pm to 3.15pm.

The doors to the Early Years Unit (FS1 and FS2) open at 8.45am to ensure a smooth start to the day. First bell rings at 8.48am and the classroom doors are opened at 8.50am. Classroom doors close at 9.00am by which time all children should be in school. Classroom doors are locked at 9.00am and children arriving late should sign in at the main school reception.
